Siccar Point Energy has awarded an exclusive FEED contract to Sembcorp Marine for the design of a Sevan cylindrical FPSO. Strong performance at national WSH event highlights the Group’s commitment to workplace safety. Through the collaboration, the three organisations aim to make LNG more accessible. Sembcorp Marine has won its biggest green technology retrofits contract to date. Empowering employees, customers and contractors to take charge of their own safety. The Cambo field, located 125km northwest of the Shetland Islands and in a water depth of 1100m. The outstanding submission was among 307 projects by over 1,000 students at the annual competition. Under the contract, four suezmax tankers will be fitted with marine scrubbers. Under the CARE safety programme, all yard employees irrespective of rank and seniority. It’s ranging from sustainable waste treatment to developing renewable energy sources. Sevan SSP AS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Marine.
The haul included one WSH Performance Award (Silver) each for Sembcorp Marine Tuas Boulevard Yard. Named after the Norse God Odin’s eight-legged stallion and newly completed at Sembcorp Marine’s Tuas Boulevard Yard. Sembcorp Marine has contracted KBR for topsides design and integration support. The vessel also has two 10,000-tonne revolving cranes which can lift loads. Sembcorp Marine Tanjong Kling Yard, the technology partners signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The Cambo partners had been working with two FEED contracting options since early this year. Four ballast water management systems in total will take place at Sembcorp Marine’s Tuas Boulevard Yard. The safety issue observed is recorded into a safety management system. Tuas Boulevard Yard also bagged the prestigious WSH Innovation award. Operated by Costa Crociere, the 1,358-cabin vessel sailed away from Sembcorp Marine’s Admiralty Yard. Sembcorp Marine has contracted KBR for topsides design.
Sembcorp Marine and ABS will work on the approval and certification of Sembcorp Marine’s gas. Sembcorp Marine will tap the gas expertise and simulation capabilities of ABS and IHPC respectively. Sembcorp Marine’s breakthrough green technology retrofits contract from Maran Tankers. The safety management system also generates safety trends from past incidents for further evaluation and benchmarking. The Cambo partners had been working with two FEED contracting options. Formal project sanction will be sought following completion of the FEED activities. The vessel further stands out as the world’s first crane vessel with dual-fuel engines running on Marine Gas Oil (MGO). The research collaboration will see the partners leveraging one another’s domain expertise. Shell acquired a 30% working interest stake in the field from Siccar Point in 2018. In particular, a submission by students of Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia. Company look forward to working with partner Shell as it progress towards formal project.
