Petrofac has been selected by Petrogas NEO UK – a jointly owned company created by Petrogas E&P UK, and NEO Energy. Company announces a new contract and the award of an additional scope of work with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). Petrofac, in a joint venture (JV) with the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), has secured a Project Management Services.
Company establish its new North Sea operation following its recently announced asset acquisition. Petrofac employees based in the north-east of Scotland have raised £8,000 for a local youth homelessness and unemployment charity. Petrofac’s Engineering and Production Services division has signed a well management contract under Maersk Drilling’s master alliance agreement.
Petrofac celebrated the graduation of the first delegates from its newly upgraded construction skills. In a two-year deal valued in the region of US$50million, Petrofac will integrate the services of its Operations, Projects. The filling of the first line of TurkStream with natural gas as part of commissioning activities has now started.

John Glithero, President, Petrofac Inc has been appointed Vice President of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Ouargla Province Governor have visited Petrofac’s recently inaugurated training centre. Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services contract for the Mabrouk North East Development Project. The three-year contract will support both onshore and offshore activity for BP operated projects in the Caspian Sea area. More than 50 delegates and officials accompanied Mr Dada Moussa. Petrofac will integrate the services of its Operations.
Nick Shorten is now Managing Director for Petrofac’s Engineering. The full field development of Mabrouk North East field is planned to be executed in a phased approach. The centre provides training for the next generation of Algeria’s oil and gas industry workforce. A graduation ceremony held at the centre, was attended by Mr Mourad Belhadad, General Secretary Ministry of Training.
The 34-month project scope awarded involves the development of 16 gas producing wells and export. In 2017 Petrofac was awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) fast track contract with South Stream Transport B.V. Al Dhafra Petroleum is a joint venture company between ADNOC and the Korea National Oil Corporation and GSE Energy.
The training centre will provide Algerian students with the theoretical knowledge. The gas that was injected into the TurkStream system is delivered through the Gazprom Unified Gas Supply System. More than 530 employees attended Petrofac’s Christmas Dinner Dance at the P&J Live and dug deep for the Aberdeen Foyer’s Christmas Appeal.

The required pressure to fill the TurkStream system is generated by the Russkaya Compressor Station. The centre was designed, built and will be operated by Petrofac, as part of our commitment to the development of local skills. Two wells in the UK North Sea have previously been announced as part of the work scope. Petrofac will also provide ongoing operational, maintenance, engineering and construction support.
It will ensure Petrogas NEO UK’s requirements are efficiently supported as it seeks to safely. The other scope of work awarded is to provide further services for PDO’s Yibal Khuff Project. The centre was designed, built and is operated by Petrofac as part of the company’s commitment to the development of local skills. The company explores and develops its concession area as it evaluates the commercial value.
It’s no secret that Aberdeen has one of the biggest wealth divides in Scotland. This is the first contract to specifically undertake maintenance activities for a full asset in Abu Dhabi. This agreement represents a significant new strategic partnership for Petrofac in our core UK market. This 20-month contract includes detailed Engineering, Procurement, and support for Construction. The first batch of 43 students graduated from three specialist trade areas- Instrumentation, Electrical and Mechanical. The ability to seamlessly integrate services across the asset lifecycle, will ensure Petrogas NEO UK’s requirements. The Commissioning of nine additional wells to improve overall plant production, and laying of gas pipeline from Yibal. Company very much look forward to supporting our client’s first UK venture.
