Petrofac has secured a contract extension for four years with an undisclosed major client operating in the Iraq oil industry.

The British company’s Engineering & Production Services (EPS) East division will handle the contract, which estimated at around $50 million in worth. The agreement sees EPS East continuing to supply specialised services to the client, such as the maintenance of existing infrastructure, staff support and technological improvements.

The company has many years of experience in Iraq, delivering offshore projects and onshore projects, as well as brownfield plus greenfield projects since 2010. In addition, they provide services in engineering, operations, staff training, consulting, maintenance, and project management.

EPS East Managing Director Mani Rajapathy said: “The renewal of this important contract further strengthens our position in Iraq and is testament to our teams’ performance and service delivery. We look forward to continuing our focus on safe and efficient delivery and the development of local resources in-country.”
